How to become a member of the libraries in Gladsaxe

Registration at the library

The libraries in Gladsaxe are public libraries which means, that it is a free service offered to everyone. This also means that everybody can borrow from the libraries.

You can register at one of the Gladsaxe Libraries by showing up. Right away you will then be able to borrow or use our digital resources and self-service libraries. 

Online Registration

If you are 15 years old or more, you can register through our website at gladsaxe.dk/bibliotek by using your health insurance number, e-mail and pin code. You use your pin code with your health insurance number to log on to our website, check out materials at the self-service desks and get access to our digital content. After being registered , you will be able to reserve materials on our website. The digital content however will be available after a few days.

If you are under 15 years of age, you will have to show up personally at one of our libraries to register as a patron. 

If you change you address, e-mail or telephone number, you will have to contact the library. 
If you lose your library card please contact the library immediately to get your account suspended. .
If your are under 15 years of age, you can get a library card, but you can also choose to use your health insurance instead. To be able to borrow, reserve or renew books, music or other materials you must be a registered user.

Your account number /health insurance numer) and you pin code will give you access to your status and the digital content the libraries have to offer. Be aware that some of the digital content is only available if you reside in Gladsaxe municipality.
